1977 was the year of aerobatic competitions. First Bill Bennet invited us to the Circus Circus in Las Vegas, and then the 10th F3A World Aerobatic Championships took place in Springfield, USA. Helmut Drexler was there, here is his report:

F3AX Neckartalcup 1982
42 years ago, I organized the 2nd F3AX Neckartalcap with my team at the time. Most of the well-known German pilots were there, either to fly with us or just as onlookers. Everyone who was anybody was there. The entire German F3A national team was there, even Wolfgang Matt was there for a flying visit.

F3AX Kleeberg Throphy 1981
As in the previous year 1980, the MFC Lemgo again organized an aerobatic competition for large-scale model aircraft. The competition took place on the club’s own site, the Kleeberg, which is located in the scenic Lipperland and is almost the highest elevation there at about 36o meters.
