Pfaeffikon, July 2023, Retroday: At this event we met our Swiss collector colleague Nello Nero. He had brought a few of his collector’s items with him to Pfaeffikon, including a beautifully built Curare.

Here’s a vintage film of early 1960’s RC flying taken by Joe Unger. This was an AMA sanctioned contest at Lodi, Wisconsin. In this film are some of the very first digital proportional radios and the first engine mufflers we saw in action.

Mach 1′ F3A aerobatic aeroplane. This design comes from the US American Norm Page. His ‘Mach 1’ was used by him in 1973 at the RC1 World Championships in Gorizia / Italy. Here he achieved an excellent 5th place.
