Thursday, October 17, 2024, 3:00 p.m.: Call from Martin Schempp, hi Dieter, would you like to photograph my ‘new’ Admiral? I’ll be at the airfield, if you feel like it, come by. No sooner said than done, half an hour later I was at the airfield in Reutlingen. Just to be on the safe side, I invited our ‘Filmmaker’, my wife Johanna, along.
We arrived and what did we see? A beautiful ‘Admiral’, built by Wilfried Mayer from Tübingen. Wilfried is now well over 80 years old, which is why he put his trust in Martin’s capable hands.

My wife Johanna didn’t let it take, Martin flew immediately, she filmed him doing it.
In the late seventies, the Berlin model maker Hans-Dieter Scheer constructed his Admiral. The aircraft was known as the “Scheerbomber” among his flying buddies. Hans-Dieter sold a few kits nationwide on a small scale. Wilfried Mayer received one of the kits at the time.

This admiral is now in the hands of Martin.
