We have been friends with the Tehran dentist Eshan Mirshedi for a few years. And what does a dentist do? He repairs broken teeth, he trims teeth, he makes his patients’ faces more beautiful. And what else does a model-flying dentist do? He repairs model aeroplanes.
Here is Eshan’s report and photo documentation: The ‘Dirty Birdy’ aerobatic plane was designed by the American model pilot legend Joe Bridi. Eshan’s Dirty Birdy was built almost 35 years ago by the Iranian model aeroplane builder and pilot ‘Mojtaba Majd Abadi’.
it was finished in silk and dope and automobile paint, unfortunately it crashed hardly very soon in the first few flights.
Wing was totally damaged and fuselage was damaged hardly, some parts of the engine were damaged as well.
Last year I asked him to give me the plane.
I made a new wing and repaired the fuselage and again finished the plane in automobile paint. All damaged engine parts were replaced with new ones.
It is powered with a Supertigre X61 rear exhaust and weighs 3390 grams.
Its ready for maiden flight.
Specifications:
