Yesterday we received some sad news. Our Italian modelling legend and friend, Graziano Pagni, has passed away at the age of 87.
His life was characterised by model flying.
From 1967 to 1973 he was a member of the Italian national F3A aerobatics team.
In 1967 he accompanied the team to the World Championships in Corsica.
In 1969 he took part in the World Championships in Bremen-Lemwerder, finishing in 20th place.
1971 Doylestown he finished in an excellent 16th place.
In 1973, at his home World Championships in Gorizia, he took 23rd place.
Graziano was a very helpful person. He was also very helpful to us. When researching the F3A World Championship report, he made the photos he had taken available to us.
God rest his soul.
Here is the obituary of his long-time friend Benito Bertolani:
GRAZIANO Pagni has left us, he was a friend loved and appreciated by all. He was a champion in RC Acrobatics, but illness has taken him from us. But for us Graziano will live on forever, because he has left a deep mark in our hearts. Ciao GRAZIANO, one day we will meet again! Our condolences to his children, daughters-in-law and grandchildren !!! b.b.
P.S. The funeral will take place tomorrow, Monday, 4 August, at 4 pm in the church of San Rocco in S. CROCE SULL’ARNO.
