A legend has passed away – Dieter Stukenbrock

A good friend is no longer with us! Yesterday I received the sad message from the board of the MFC Lemgo that my long-time friend Dieter Stukenbrock passed away on October 3, 2024 at the age 80 years of.

Dieter was an outstanding model aerobatic pilot, plane designer, engine specialist, helpful club member and a very good friend.

He was already flying F3A in the national league in the early seventies. From 1980, he concentrated on the large-model aerobatics class F3AX, in which I got to know and appreciate him in 1981 at our competition in Tübingen. For years he had helped shape the F3AX scene in Germany.

He could be found at many competitions. He was also an ingenious model aircraft designer. The Metterhausen YAK 50, the smaller and the large CAP 20 were also his babies.
I was in contact with him just 3 or 4 months ago. He provided me with some of his photos.

We all miss him! God bless him.
